There's only two players on the map and I'm controlling both, meaning I have access to the entire hero pool. For my first few games, I actually played in Hotseat against myself so I would have full access to the map without having an actual opponent, as a way to learn the game and learn the mechanics without having a competent AI spam OP spells on me or have armies of Tier IVs before I knew how to play.
